Day 1
Welcome to Myanmar
Welcome to Yangon city. As you get transferred to the hotel, prepare to get inspired at every step. The first few hours are not a quiet contemplation before the night slips in. Enjoy dinner at a local restaurant, before turning down on your first night in Yangon.

Day 2
Discovering Yangon
Head to the Yangon City Hall, to get a true feel of Yangon’s heritage, then make your way to Strand Road to view some of the other architectural gems of the region, which include the new courts of law, the Art Deco inspired Port Authority tower, the General Post Office and the fancy Strand Hotel. Later, we see Bahadur Shah Tomb and Shwedagon Pagoda before retiring for the night.

Day 3
The road to Mandalay
It’s time to take a flight of fancy as you make your way to Mandalay. We transfer to Ava and visit the Bagaya Teak Monastery, the Nanmyin Watch Tower and the Maha Aungmye Bonzan Monastery. Then we continue to the ancient kingdom of Sagaing, located across the mighty Ayeyarwaddy River & continue to Amarapura followed by Ubein Bridge, worth stopping by.

Day 4
Mandalay Hopping
We have an early breakfast and drive to Mandalay Hill. Today our visits includes, the lively Zegyo market. the sacred Mahamuni Pagoda, the Golden Palace Monastery and Royal Palace gives you a glimpse of ancient architecture and lastly, visit the Kuthodaw Pagoda. Transfer to Mandalay Airport for your departure for Bagan by evening flight.

Day 5
A date with history in Bagan
The day begins in the bustling river town of Nyaung-U and visit the glittering Shwezigon Pagoda, the simple Kyansittha Cave Temple and Manuha Temple, the Nanpaya Temple, Ananda Temple, the towering Thatbyinnyu Temple and Dhammayangyi Temple, a massive 12th century temple visible throughout Bagan followed by a boat ride on the Irrawaddy River.

Day 6
Bagan Delight
We make stops at the shining gold gilded Shwezigon Stupa, then immerse yourself in the craft of making lacquer as the region’s skilled craftsmen get to work and create some stunning lacquer products. After lunch, proceed to the Shwesandaw Pagoda. For sunset, we climb to the top of a temple that offers unparalleled photo opportunities. Enjoy puppet show followed by dinner in the evening.

Day 7
Drifting in Inle
We transfer to the airport for a flight to Heho. Upon arrival, we drive to Nyaung Shwe, gateway town of Inle Lake. Disembark at the jetty and put on your walking shoes, through Indaing village to reach the 14th - 18th century pagoda ruins of Nyaung Ohak. A covered walkway leads up to Shwe Inn Thein Paya. Continue downstream and you will soon rejoin the lake near Phaung Daw Oo Paya.

Day 8
Take to the skies of Myanmar
Today, we visit Shwe Yan Pyay Teakwood Monastery. From here, we continue by boat passing Yethar village watching local life until rejoining the lake near Phaung Daw Oo Paya. We return back to the hotel and rest of the time is free for your personal exploration. We meet up in the evening to have dinner at the hotel.

Day 9
The wonders of Kakku
Your adventure begins in the morning after breakfast as you set off from the low-lying lands at Inle Lake toward Taunggyi, then head into the rolling hills toward the east of the lake. After two hours you’ll arrive at Kakku. In the afternoon, drive back to Heho airport departure for Yangon by evening flight. Upon arrival, transfer to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 10
Mingalaba Myanmar
As the temples, pagodas, scenic hills, lakes and customs take over your imagination, bid goodbye to Burma as you make your way to the airport for your flight back home.

"I so enjoyed my WOW experience in Myanmar! Bagan was certainly a highlight - Beautiful, Breathtaking, Blissful – just a few words to describe the indescribable Bagan. Truly Bagan is a sight to rival Machu Picchu or Angkor Wat ( yet to see). The setting is sublime – green and brown 25 square-mile plain, part-covered with palms and tamarind trees ...caught in a bend of the lazy-flowing Irrawaddy river and framed by the hazy silver-grey of distant mountains. Rising from the plain’s canopy of green and brown are temples, dozens of them, hundreds of them, beautiful and alluring that were built by the kings of Bagan between 1057 and 1287
I am so happy that I signed up for WOW's Myanmar experience. Enjoyed the hotels, sightseeing and yes the street food was yummy! I feel like going back for more! Would I recommend a holiday to Myanmar with the Women On Wanderlust? Yes, yes absolutely!

Twin share price is the price mentioned against a package and it refers to the cost per head for a double sharing accommodation. If you'd like to upgrade to Single Occupancy, please select this at the time of checkout -
Regarding the hotels, what does OR SIMILAR refer to?
OR SIMILAR means that the hotel booked might be different from the hotel mentioned in the itinerary. 90% of the time we book the hotel that’s mentioned, but under few situations it might differ due to on-the-ground factors. So we pick an alternate hotel, but always in the same class and area of the city. -
How hectic is my vacation going to be?
We do over 120 trips a year and while some are leisurely paced, others are of medium pace. Please check with the WOW Buddy of this trip for more details. -
What size can my suitcase be?
Generally, check in bag should have dimensions not exceeding 30″x 21″x11″ and weight not exceeding 22 kg. Carry-on luggage should not exceed the dimensions of 12″x11″ x6″ and weight not exceeding 7 kg. Though, because of differing terms of various airlines you must check your ticket copy and baggage allowance once your ticket is booked. -
