Day 1
Arrival in Kathmandu
Flying into Kathmandu on a clear day offers stunning views of snow-capped peaks, setting the stage for a memorable adventure. Upon arrival, your trek leader will greet you at the airport and transfer you to your hotel. In the evening, you'll receive a briefing about your trek. Spend your first night in the "Valley of Temples," where rich history and culture blend in a truly unique setting.
-
Day 2
Drive to Ramechhap
In the morning, we will conduct a trip briefing, perform a gear check, and allow time for last-minute shopping to ensure we're fully prepared for the trek. After lunch, we will drive to Ramechhap, a journey that takes approximately 5 hours. Upon arrival, we’ll have dinner and stay in Ramechhap for the night.
-
Day 3
Trek to Phakding
We fly from Ramechhap to Lukla, with a short 15-minute flight that offers breathtaking views of the surrounding peaks. Upon arrival in Lukla, we meet our trekking crew and begin our trek along the Dudh Koshi River, following a well-marked trail. The trek is scenic and gradual, taking us through small Sherpa villages and offering stunning views of the mountains. After approximately 3-4 hours of trekking, we reach Phakding (2,600m/8,531ft), where we will spend the night. This marks the start of our Everest Base Camp adventure, with Phakding serving as a peaceful and picturesque first stop.
-
Day 4
Trek to Namche
We continue our trek along the Dudh Kosi River, crossing suspension bridges and passing through settlements like Zapute, Toktok, and Benkar, before reaching Monjo, the entry point to Sagarmatha National Park. After crossing another bridge, we head toward the High Hillary Bridge and then begin our uphill climb to Namche Bazaar. Along the way, we get views of Thamserku Mountain, and if the weather is clear, we may catch our first glimpse of Mount Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse, and Kusum Khangru. We will spend the night in Namche Bazaar.
-
Day 5
Acclimatization day at Namche
We will spend a second night in Namche Bazaar for proper acclimatization to the altitude. Namche, a prosperous village nestled in a large protected hollow, offers several options for exploration. After breakfast, you can hike up to the Everest View Hotel for panoramic views, visit the villages of Khumjung and Khunde, or take a scenic walk to Thame (3,810m) above the Bhote Khola River valley. Alternatively, you can visit the National Park Headquarters to learn about Sherpa culture, mountaineering history, and the region's flora and fauna.
-
Day 6
Trek to Tengboche
Today, we trek along the glacial waters of the Dudh Kosi River, enjoying views of Mount Everest, Nuptse, Lhotse, Thamserku, and Ama Dablam. The trail takes us through a vibrant forest of blooming rhododendrons, rich in wildlife, including musk deer and colourful pheasants, before reaching Sanasa. Here, we encounter a junction where one path leads to Gokyo Valley and the other towards Everest Base Camp. We take the route to Everest Base Camp, followed by a steep climb to Tengboche, home to the largest monastery in the Khumbu region. The day ends with stunning close-up views of surrounding peaks. Overnight stay at Tengboche.
-
Day 7
Trek to Dingboche
We begin our hike through several Chortens, mani walls, and small villages, taking a break for a meal while enjoying the stunning views of Ama Dablam towering above us. Continuing through Pangboche, the highest permanent settlement in the valley, we begin the final steep climb of the day to reach Dingboche. Known for its agricultural practices, Dingboche features fields surrounded by stone walls, where locals grow buckwheat, potatoes, and barley. The village offers a picturesque setting and marks another step in our journey towards Everest Base Camp.
-
Day 8
Acclimatization Day
Today is a rest day to acclimatize, but we stay active. We can explore Dingboche, interact with the locals to learn about their culture, and enjoy the stunning surroundings. For further acclimatization, we hike to Chhukung village and, if desired, take a steep climb to Chhukung Ri at 5,550m. The climb rewards us with breathtaking views of Cho Oyu, Pumori, Lhotse, Ama Dablam, Makalu, and Baruntse, making the effort worthwhile. It’s a day of rest, exploration, and unforgettable mountain vistas.
-
Day 9
Trek to Lobuche
After crossing by some of the tea houses of Duglha, we plod higher onto the pretty risky moraine of the Khumbu glacier, passing a chain of stone monuments built in memory of Sherpas who have died on mountaineering expeditions to Mt Everest. From hereabouts, the trail lowers and goes by the west side of the valley to Lobuche. The sunset on Nuptse from this point is an amazing sight to behold.
-
Day 10
Trek to E.B.C
A real early start is required to reach the Everest Base Camp. It takes several hours as the trail weaves its way through ice pinnacles and past the crevasses of the Khumbu Glacier. After a brief lunch and rest, we take the trail to Everest Base Camp through the once vast Gorak Shep Lake. Only upon reaching the Everest Base Camp do we really appreciate the Everest climbers who brave the risky route through the Khumbu icefall. On the return leg, we can take a higher route to get a grand view of the Khumbu icefall and the route to the South Col. We return to Gorakshep for a restful night.
-
Day 11
Helicopter Return
Early in the morning, we begin our hike to Kalapathar (5,545m/18,190ft), one of the best viewpoints for panoramic views of Mount Everest and the surrounding peaks. After spending some time at the summit to enjoy the breathtaking vistas, we descend back to Gorak Shep. From there, we board a helicopter for a scenic flight to Lukla, offering a bird's-eye view of the Himalayan landscapes. After a brief stop at Lukla, we continue our helicopter journey back to Kathmandu, where we’ll be transferred to our hotel. This day offers an exhilarating conclusion to our Everest trek with both a challenging hike and a spectacular helicopter ride.
-
Day 12
Leisure day
A free day in Kathmandu to explore and recover from the trek. This day can also be used as a contingency incase of any possible delays due to bad weather etc. and get organized before leaving for the trek.
-

Regarding the hotels, what does OR SIMILAR refer to?
OR SIMILAR means that the hotel booked might be different from the hotel mentioned in the itinerary. 90% of the time we book the hotel that’s mentioned, but under few situations it might differ due to on-the-ground factors. So we pick an alternate hotel, but always in the same class and area of the city. -
