Day 1
Welcome to Colombo
Arrive at Colombo International Airport and transfer to the Hotel for check in (after 2 PM only). Colombo, gateway to the wonder of Sri Lanka, boasts a rich colonial heritage, featuring a melting pot of races, religions and cultures. Colombo is a city with a rich history. Known the Greeks, Arabs, and Chinese for over 2000 years because of its natural harbour and as a centre of trade, it was colonized by the Portuguese, the Dutch, and then the British between 1505 and 1948. Each colonial power left a distinctive mark and contributed greatly to the character of the city. Rest of the day is at leisure. Enjoy High Tea. Dinner & overnight stay in Colombo.

Day 2
Day with the Elephants
After an early breakfast, head towards Dambulla (2.5 Hrs/ 95 KM). En-route visit the Elephant Orphanage. This orphanage was set up by the government to take care of baby elephants lost or abandoned in the wild. Observe them as they take their daily bath in the river nearby, which affords marvelous. photo opportunities. Bath time is enjoyed by all elephants, young and old alike and it is a good time to closely observe their tightly knit family structure. Later, continue your drive to Dambulla (30 min/17 km). Upon arrival, check in. Dinner and Overnight stay Dambulla.

Day 3
City Tour of Trincomalee
After a leisurely breakfast, check-out from the hotel and leave for Trincomalee ( 2.5 hrs /115 km). Trincomalee, the port city with heavenly sights from the turquoise waters to the golden sandy beaches. Later commence a city tour of Trincomalee. We visit Fort Frederick also known as Trincomalee Fort which was built by the Dutch. This beauteous and colorful city has many stories to tell and many sights to see. One of the famous attractions being the Nilaveli Beach that has golden sand flirting with the turquoise of the Indian Ocean until the eye can see. Thereafter visit the Thirukoneswaram temple. Thirukoneswaram is one of the five Eswaram-Sivan temples in Sri Lanka. This temple is situated on the topmost pinnacle of the Swami Rock and is known as the Southern Kailasam. Transfer to the hotel. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 4
Dolphin and Whale watching
Rise early morning, as you leave to Uppuveli Beach @ 05:30 AM in Trincomalee for Dolphin and Whale Watching boat ride (weather depending) on the warm Indian Ocean in order to be at the jetty in the morning. The trip takes usually 2 hours. Whale and Dolphin watching has been a most exciting leisure activity in the past few years, in Sri Lanka and still remains the same. Afterwards return to shore, with rest of day at leisure.

Day 5
Spice Garden - Matale
After breakfast continue your journey onwards to Kandy (05 Hrs/ 185 km) is a picturesque city in Sri Lanka, known for its rich cultural heritage and stunning landscapes. It is a home to the sacred Temple of the Tooth, a UNESCO World Heritage site, and offers breathtaking views of lush tea plantations and misty mountains. En route make a stop at Spice Gardens in Matale. The environment possesses excellent conditions for growing cinnamon, vanilla, nutmeg, peppercorn, and other flavorful delights. At the end of your visit, opportunities for the purchase of various products made with spices are available which can be either natural cosmetics or traditional herbal remedies. Later continue the drive to Kandy. On arrival check in into the hotel. Dinner and overnight stay in Kandy.

Day 6
Arts and Crafts in Kandy
After breakfast explore Kandy’s Arts and Crafts scene, featuring traditional wood carvings, batik fabrics, and jewelry. The story of Sri Lanka’s arts and crafts comes from within. one of the oldest civilizations in the world. Thereafter visit Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic a Buddhist temple in Kandy, Sri Lanka. It is located in the royal palace complex of the former Kingdom of Kandy, which houses the relic of the tooth of the Buddha. In the evening, watch Kandyan Dancing and Cultural Show It plays an important role in Sri Lanka’s culture and is one of the most revered features of the Perahera. Back to the hotel. Dinner and overnight stay in Kandy.

Day 7
Galle Fort
After breakfast proceed to Galle. Lunch at the hotel(on your own) Explore a tour by tuk tuk, southern province with a colorful history. Galle Fort offers the best preserved example of a European built fortified city in Asia. It was built by the Dutch from the 17th Century and is now a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Stroll the winding streets of this immensely charming town and discover its decaying colonial buildings, grand fort walls and numerous boutiques and cafés. Stretching along the coast nearby are ruggedly beautiful beaches, which may be narrow but are peaceful and secluded. Walk along the ramparts, pass the lighthouse and the old Portuguese harbour and stop to see some of the many colonial era buildings, including the Dutch Reformed Church, the Anglican All Saints Church and the former house of the Dutch governor, built in 1684 and now the luxurious Amangalla hotel. Later check-into the hotel.

Day 8
Departure
Breakfast at the hotel. Morning at leisure.Upon check out from the hotel proceed to Lunch on your own. Once completed drive to Colombo (Drive: Approximately 2 Hrs - 130KM). On reaching commence a city tour of Colombo. Visit the Lotus Tower which is as high as 350 meters (External visit only). It is a transmission hub that focuses on improving the broadcast quality and deliver clear transmission communication. Drive past and Galle Face Green. Visit the Old Parliament (External visit only) Building which is reminiscent of the New-baroque architectural style. Make a stop at Gangaramaya Temple, one of the most important Buddhist temples in Colombo. Indulge in some shopping around Colombo (ODEL | ONE Galle Face | Noritake). Dinner at a local restaurant (on your own). After having dinner in Colombo you will be dropped off at the airport @12:00am for the departure flight

"My experience with the WOW Club was an absolute WOW. A perfect blend of fun, adventure, relaxation and connections made this the best weekend getaway for me. A wonderfully planned itinerary, an extremely beautiful resort with mouth watering meals and snacks, mind boggling DJ nights and crazy get togethers by way of movie nights were some of the things that made each day memorable.
Travelling with a group of strangers is a risk for anyone, but when it’s WOW, it’s a risk worth taking. Palak, our buddy for the program was the sweetest friend, guide and philosopher who went out of her horizon to ensure a smooth and lovely experience for all of us which was a cherry on top. Be it any last minute glitch, she was on her feet to support us irrespective of the time or cause. I cherish each day spent there and look forward to many more spectacular trips with WOW.

I must mention that everything was so well organised. The tours and the guides, the road travel, etc and the hotels too. Our small group of ladies bonded so well with each which made the whole tour even more comfortable.
