Day 1
Welcome to Kazakhstan
We arrive at Almaty International Airport (Suggestion- Ex Delhi, Air Astana; Arrival @15:20) and transfer to the hotel for check-in(Check in after 03:00 pm). Overnight stay in Almaty.

Day 2
Almaty - City of the Apple
After breakfast at the hotel, transfer to enjoy a sightseeing tour which includes the Zenkov Cathedral—a wooden Russian Orthodox cathedral—the Wedding Palace, the Kazakh State Circus, and the Central Mosque. Have lunch in a local restaurant. In the afternoon, board the The Orient Silk Road Express Train. Dinner and overnight stay on board.

Day 3
Lake Issyk-Kul, Kyrgyzstan
This morning you will reach the breathtaking Issyk Kul Lake in Kyrgyzstan. Proceed to visit to the Center of Nomadic Culture and then walk at the lake. You can also opt to swim in the lake and take a boat ride on the Issyk Kul lake. Later, proceed to your train which will move forward to Bishkek. Dinner and overnight stay on board.

Day 4
Exploring Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan
After breakfast on board you arrive in Bishkek, the capital of Kyrgyzstan. During a city tour, you discover numerous points of interest. In the afternoon, an excursion takes you to the Ala Archa National Park. In the evening, return back to the train to depart for Uzbekistan. Dinner and overnight stay on board.

Day 5
Tashkent, Uzbekistan
In the morning, your train arrives in Tashkent. After breakfast on board, transfer to Tashkent for the sightseeing tour. Enjoy witnessing the Kukeldash Madrasa, the Kavoj and Amir Timur monuments, and typical Uzbek mud-brick houses. Post tour, arrive at the hotel and check in. Dinner and overnight stay in Tashkent.

Day 6
Kokand, Uzbekistan
After breakfast at the hotel, check out. Transfer to your train. In the afternoon, you reach the city of Kokand. Here you visit the Palace of Khudayar Khan, before heading back to the train. Dinner and overnight stay on board.

Day 7
Journey Through Time, Shahrisa
Enjoy a leisurely breakfast on board. Today you will experience a traditional folklore performance of this region. The train will move to Shahrisabz, and you will have a day to this beautiful city. In the evening, the train heads for Samarkand. Dinner and overnight stay on board.

Day 8
Samarkand, Uzbekistan
After breakfast on board, you will move to the city Samarkand. Today you will discover the necropolis of Shah-i-Zinda, the Afrasiyab excavation site, and Registan Square. Post the city tour, transfer to the hotel and check in. Dinner and overnight stay in Samarkand.

Day 9
Panjakent, Tajikistan
Breakfast at the hotel. We will drive towards Panjakent, Tajikistan (65 km/ 2 hours). You will visit the historic Rudaki museum, the Alim Dodcho mosque and the old ruins of the old town at the banks of the river Zeravchan. Drive back to Samarkand and transfer to hotel. Dinner and overnight stay in Samarkand.

Day 10
Samarkand, Uzbekistan
Have a leisurely breakfast and transfer to the train to continue the onward journey. Dinner and overnight stay on board.

Day 11
Khiva, Uzbekistan
Breakfast on board. Today you will visit Khiva. Enjoy the sightseeing tour of Khiva. After the tour, return back to the train. Dinner and overnight stay on board.

Day 12
Bukhara, Uzbekistan
Have breakfast on board. The train has reached Bukhara. In Bukhara’s Old Town (UNESCO World Heritage), you see the almost fifty-metre tall Kalyan Minaret and the Lyabi Hauz ensemble by the pond. In a madrassa courtyard you watch a performance of local dances. Post the sightseeing, transfer to the hotel and check in. Dinner and overnight stay in Bukhara.

Day 13
The Samanid Mausoleum
Enjoy breakfast at the hotel. In the morning, we drive to the splendid Mir-e-Arab Madrassa and the Samanid Mausoleum. Afterwards to the massive Ark Citadel, a city within a city that was once the seat of government of Bukhara’s former rulers. Dinner and overnight stay in Bukhara.

Day 14
Departure
Have a leisurely breakfast and transfer to the train. The train will now depart for Tashkent. On arrival in Tashkent, transfer to the hotel and check in. The rest of the day is free for leisure on your own. Post dinner, transfer to the airport for the flight departure @ 01:25 am (04th Oct 2024).

What is the visa procedure for Uzbekistan
Visa for Uzbekistan is a group visa, the passports are submitted in the Embassy 2 weeks prior and it is received from the Embassy a day before the departure date. -
